Massive fireball lights up the sky across Australia's east coast

The strange ball of light was spotted by hundreds of Aussies on the NSW Central Coast on Thursday night.  The bright ball burned blue across the sky, leaving a smoke trail behind it. One golfer filming his swing in Sydney's Northern Beaches captured the odd sight on video. Social media was flooded with reported sightings across the coast.  The light was seen as far inland as Mudgee and Canberra. It's believed the ball was a meteor or meteorite.
