Emergency services rushed to Penmaenau Farm in Llanelwedd, Wales, after reports of a medical emergency at around 10.30pm on Saturday, 18 July. Despite the efforts of paramedics, Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed a 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by the force's specially trained officers. Three men were arrested on suspicion of drug dealing offences and remain in custody. A police presence remains at the scene - which accommodates thousands each year for the Royal Welsh Show - while enquiries continue. Chief Superintendent of Dyfed-Powys Police, Steve Davies, described the death as a 'tragic incident'. He said: 'Our thoughts remain with the young man's family at this difficult time. 'We will continue to support Dyfed-Powys Police as their enquiries continue. 'The safety and wellbeing of everyone attending the event remains our priority. We are working closely as members of the Builth Wells Event Safety Group, which has extensive measures in place, including welfare and support services, medical provision and safety initiatives.
