Drivers are being warned of new vehicle recalls announced by some of the most popular brands in the world over concerns relating to fires and accidents.

The likes of Ford, Audi and Volkswagen have all issued vehicle recall notices for hundreds of thousands of vehicles.

GB News has rounded up the most important car recalls issued over recent weeks that motorists need to know about.

Ford

The Blue Oval will be recalling almost 180,000 vehicles amid concerns that the front seats of certain vehicles have a loose or dislodged seat frame height-adjust pivot bolt.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the dislodged bolt may not properly restrain an occupant in a crash, potentially increasing the risk of injury.

Owners of certain Ford Ranger and Bronco models from production years 2024 to 2026 will be informed of the recall via notification letters later this month.

Ford Bronco

Volkswagen

The iconic German brand has issued two notable recalls in recent weeks, with the first impacting 38,710 2025 and 2026 Taos vehicles in response to fuel and fire issues.

Recall documents state that a fuel tank with a dislodged or separated fuel pressure sensor can leak fuel after a rollover crash, potentially increasing the risk of a fire.

To remedy the issue, dealers will install a fuel pressure sensor wiring harness extension for free to adhere to the NHTSA's "Fuel System Integrity" regulation.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS

The Volkswagen Taos

Volkswagen Group of America launched another consultation for its Audi subdivision in the United States, with 7,425 vehicles at risk.

It states that the driver and front passenger seatbelts may have been manufactured incorrectly and fail to properly restrain occupants during a crash.

The recall impacts certain 2025 Audi Q5, Q5 Sportback, SQ5, and SQ5 Sportback vehicles.

If the error is caught by dealers, they will replace the driver and front passenger seatbelts as necessary, with notification letters being sent next month.

The Range Rover Evoque

Jaguar Land Rover

Drivers are being warned that more than 170,000 vehicles are being recalled amid fears that a loss of drive power will increase the risk of an accident.

JLR has warned that the DC-DC converter can fail due to an internal fault in the boost control microchip, which will result in a loss of 12-Volt system charging and can lead to complete loss of drive power and exterior lighting.

The recall impacts certain 2021-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar and Land Rover Discovery, 2020-2023 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, 2019-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Range Rover, 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Defender, 2021-2024 Jaguar F-Pace, and 2021-2022 Jaguar E-Pace mild-hybrids.

The Mitsubishi Outlander

Mitsubishi

The North American division of Mitsubishi confirmed that it was recalling 108,000 2018-2022 Outlander PHEV and 2014-2020 Outlander vehicles.

The recall states: "The liftgate gas spring cylinders may corrode and lose pressure, which can result in a gas spring cylinder rupture or the liftgate falling unexpectedly.

"Mitsubishi will replace the left and right liftgate gas springs, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 17, 2026."
