All lines were blocked on Thursday morning between Crewe and Liverpool South Parkway/Warrington Bank Quay.National Rail warned disruption is expected to last the whole day, the Liverpool Echo reports. Trains are at risk of being cancelled or delayed. This comes after the Met Office issued weather warnings for thunderstorms on Wednesday, whilst parts of the UK remained in the grip of a heatwave.
