Lindsay Clancy's MOTHER takes stand at murder trial, prompting sobs from nurse who killed her three young children

By EMMA RICHTER, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 17:52, 17 August 2026 | Updated: 17:57, 17 August 2026 Lindsay Clancy broke down in tears as her mother took the stand during her murder trial.  Paula Musgrove was one of the defense's first witnesses on Monday afternoon as day 14 of her daughter's trial continues.  Clancy, a former nurse, is accused of murdering her three children, Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan, at her home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in 2023. When asked by Clany's attorney, Kevin Reddington, about the relationship she shared with her grandchildren, Musgrove said: 'I loved my grandchildren with all my heart, and you never know what it's like to love a grandchild until you become a grandmother.'  'It was the most beautiful thing. I loved them with all my heart,' she added.  Musgrove also noted that her daughter always dreamed of being a mother.  'I felt it was the best thing that ever happened to her, and she would do anything for her children. She was just a loving mother.'
