Muharemovic made three appearances for Bosnia-Herzegovina at the World Cup, including in the last-32 defeat by co-hosts the United States.In that match, he was fouled by Folarin Balogun and the US forward was sent off, though his suspension was later waived by Fifa after an intervention from US President Donald Trump and White House officials.Born in Slovenia's capital Ljubljana, Muharemovic began his career in Austrian football, making his debut with Wolfsberger in 2021. After a spell at Italian giants Juventus, where he did not make a first-team appearance, he was sold to Sassuolo in 2025 after a successful loan spell.Juventus are reportedly set to receive 50% of the fee because of a clause included in their sale of the defender last summer.
