By MATT JONES, SENIOR NEWS REPORTER, AUSTRALIA Published: 03:01, 4 July 2026 | Updated: 03:01, 4 July 2026 Kylie Minogue's accused stalker has been charged after allegedly telling her family the pair were 'in love' and 'together' during a series of disturbing messages. John Skyllas, 66, allegedly harassed the pop star's Melbourne-based parents, Ronald and Carol, and her brother Brendan. Police charged Skyllas with two counts of stalking and he will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court in November. Court documents seen by the Herald Sun allege he sent a 'large number of text messages' to the star's family over just a few months. 'We're still together,' Skyllas allegedly wrote in the messages to Kylie's father between February and March, according to the documents. The alleged stalker also said he and the Spinning Around hitmaker were 'in love'. Brendan received four parcels containing 'gifts and small trinkets' for his sister, with court documents alleging Skyllas's details were listed as the sender. Skyllas, from Blackburn South, has also been accused of loitering near the Minogue family's post office, the documents allege. Kylie Minogue's accused stalker has been charged after allegedly claiming they were 'in love' John Skyllas has been accused of harassing Minogue's parents, Carol and Ronald (pictured with Kylie in 2008), as well as her brother Brendan The accused stalker allegedly asked people about Kylie and her family while telling them he was her partner, according to the court documents. He also told them the make of cars driven by the family. Police allege Skyllas attended Brendan's workplace in April, took photographs from the street and claimed he was there because his car had broken down. Personal safety intervention orders against Skyllas have been obtained by Victoria Police to protect the Minogue family. 'The family is concerned with the behaviour,' an officer said in documents filed with the Magistrates' Court to apply for the orders. 'Police have concerns due to the apparent fixation and increasing contact being made, and believe that a PSIO is necessary to ensure boundaries are in place.' Skyllas is forbidden from stalking, harassing, threatening or assaulting the star's family. Under the orders, he cannot go within five metres of her parents and brother, or try to find them or communicate with them. Minogue was also targeted by an alleged stalker in London in 2019 It's not the first time Minogue has been faced with an alleged stalker after she had to call British police in 2019 due to someone lurking near her London home. Kylie was left 'very shaken' after a man in his 40s went from house to house asking where she lived. The mystery man reportedly rang her doorbell and 'refused to leave' her West London home. 'It came to a head when the man repeatedly pressed the intercom button to her home for hours on end last week and refused to leave,' a nearby resident said at the time. Another said: 'A weirdo guy was lurking around. He went door to door asking people where Kylie lived.' The man was reported to have 'kept saying Kylie' again and again, leaving the singer terrified. He was not arrested or charged, with officers instead issuing him a formal harassment warning. Sorry we are not currently accepting comments on this article.المصدر: Daily Mail | Source: Daily Mail
