Bakan Ersoy, toplantının sektörün mevcut küresel gelişmeler karşısındaki dayanıklılığını, krizlere ve fırsatlara adaptasyon kabiliyetini ortaya koyması bakımından ayrı bir önem taşıdığını söyledi. Küresel ölçekte son derece hassas bir dönemden geçildiğini vurgulayan Ersoy, "Bölgesel gerilimler, jeopolitik gelişmeler, çatışmaların olumsuz etkisi ve buna bağlı olarak uluslararası seyahat hareketliliğinde yaşanan dalgalanmalar, turizm sektörünü doğrudan etkileyen başlıca unsurlar arasında yer alıyor." dedi. Türkiye'nin yanı sıra dünyanın önde gelen turizm destinasyonlarının tamamının, çatışma bölgelerine olan mesafeleri ve bulundukları coğrafya gibi nedenlerle komşularıyla benzer etkilerle karşı karşıya olduğunu dile getiren Ersoy, şunları kaydetti: "Cumhurbaşkanımız Recep Tayyip Erdoğan'ın liderliğinde Türkiye, son yılların en büyük güvenlik krizini başarıyla yöneterek, ateş çemberi içindeki bölgesinin istikrar adası olduğunu bir kere daha tespit ve tescil etmiştir. Bulunduğumuz bölgede krizler her zaman olabilir ve olacaktır ancak burada belirleyici olan, bu tür dönemlerin nasıl yönetildiğidir. Geçtiğimiz yıl da benzer küresel gelişmelerle ve bölgesel belirsizliklerle karşı karşıya kaldık. Buna rağmen çok şükür ki, 2025 yılını turizmde 64 milyon ziyaretçi ve 65,2 milyar dolar turizm geliriyle kapattık. Rakamlar Türkiye'nin turizmde yalnızca güçlü bir destinasyon değil aynı zamanda kriz yönetimi konusunda ne kadar yüksek bir kapasiteye sahip olduğunu da açıkça ortaya koymaktadır. Bu yıl da aynı kararlılıkla ve mevcut tecrübelerimizle sektörümüz ve devlet el ele vererek yolumuza devam edeceğiz." Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, 2026'nın ilk çeyreğinde elde edilen verilere göre, küresel zorluklara rağmen Türkiye turizminin yılı artıda karşıladığını vurgulayarak, "Geçen yıl ocak ayını 2 milyon 950 bin ziyaretçiyle kapatmıştık. Bu yılı 3 milyon 131 bin ziyaretçiyle kapattık. Yüzde 6,1'lik bir artış gerçekleşti. Şubat ayını geçen yıl 2 milyon 899 bin ziyaretçiyle kapatmıştık, bu yılı 2 milyon 848 bin ziyaretçiyle yani -1,7 ile kapattık." değerlendirmesini yaptı. Turizmde şubat ve mart aylarında ramazanın ve Amerika-İsrail-İran savaşının etkilerinin görüldüğünü buna rağmen geçen yıl martta 2 milyon 995 bin olan ziyaretçi sayısının bu yıl yüzde 8,2'lik artışla 3 milyon 240 bin olarak gerçekleştiğini aktaran Ersoy, "Eğer savaşın etkisi olmasaydı mart ayında çift taneli ve yukarı yönlü çok ciddi bir büyümeyle karşılaşacaktık." diye konuştu. Bakan Ersoy, toplam ziyaretçi sayılarına göre ilk çeyreği 678 bin ziyaretçiyle kapatan Almanya'yı, 651 bin ziyaretçiyle Rusya, 539 bin ziyaretçiyle Bulgaristan, 527 bin ziyaretçiyle İran ve 314 bin ziyaretçiyle Birleşik Krallık'ın takip ettiğini ifade etti. Ortalama kalış süresi ve kişi başı gecelik harcama verilerine ilişkin bilgiler veren Ersoy, sadece nicelik değil, niteliğin de ön planda olduğu bir stratejiyle ilerlediklerini söyledi. Ersoy, ilk çeyrek raporunda kişi başı gecelik harcamadaki ve ziyaretçi sayısındaki artışın turizm gelirlerine pozitif yansımasının da görüldüğüne dikkati çekerek, "Geçen sene ilk çeyrekte 9 milyar 494 milyon dolar olan turizm gelirinin bu yıl 9 milyar 896 milyon dolar olarak gerçekleştiğini görüyoruz. Bu da yaklaşık yüzde 4,2'lik bir artışa denk geliyor." ifadelerini kullandı. Bu sonuçların doğru okunması gerektiğinin altını çizen Ersoy, sözlerini şöyle sürdürdü: "Çünkü bu tablo, tesadüfen ortaya çıkmış bir tablo değildir, planlı, koordineli ve sahada aktif şekilde yürütülen bir sürecin sonucudur. Öncelikle tanıtım tarafında Türkiye Turizm Tanıtım ve Geliştirme Ajansı (TGA) ile birlikte çok güçlü bir refleks gösterdik. Ajansımız, gelişmelerin ilk anından itibaren uluslararası pazarlardaki faaliyetlerini kesintisiz şekilde sürdürmüş, birçok hedef pazarda tanıtım çalışmalarını 2 katına çıkarmıştır. Yani biz savaş başladı diye durmadık tam tersi tanıtım faaliyetlerini iki katına çıkardık. Dijital mecralardan geleneksel iletişim kanallarına kadar geniş bir yelpazede yürütülen bu çalışmalarla Türkiye'nin güçlü, güvenli ve cazip bir destinasyon olduğu mesajı küresel ölçekte kararlılıkla verildi. Tanıtım kadar önemli bir diğer başlık ise erişilebilirlik ve kapasite yönetimi olmuştur. Bu kapsamda başta Türk Hava Yolları olmak üzere havayolu sektörümüzle çok yakın bir iş birliği içerisinde olduk." Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, mevcut durumu analiz etmenin yanı sıra pazara özel, hızlı ve etkili aksiyonlar geliştirdiklerini, süreci uzaktan izleyen değil, sahada, sektörle birlikte yöneten bir anlayışla hareket ettiklerini vurgulayarak, "Cumhurbaşkanımızın kararlı destekleri ile Türkiye'yi 2026'da Antalya Diplomasi Forumu, NATO Zirvesi, Uluslararası Uzay Kongresi ve COP31 gibi global etkinliklerin merkezi haline getiriyor, Formula 1, UEFA Avrupa Ligi Finali gibi küresel organizasyonlar ve Andrea Bocelli, Kanye West, Scorpions, Pet Shop Boys gibi dünya yıldızlarının stadyum konserlerine ev sahipliği yapıyoruz." dedi. Formula 1 açıklamasının yapıldığı ilk 4 günde 50'den fazla ülkede 2 bini aşkın haberle küresel medyada yaklaşık 650 milyonluk bir erişime ulaşıldığına işaret eden Ersoy, "44'ten fazla dilde içerik üretilmesi ve milyonlarca izlenmeye ulaşan video içerikleriyle birlikte, Formula 1 Türkiye Grand Prix'si yalnızca spor dünyasında değil, ana akım uluslararası iletişim kanallarında da birinci sınıf bir gündem başlığı haline gelmiştir. Bu da bizlere, turizmi destekleyen her büyük organizasyonun aynı zamanda güçlü bir tanıtım enstrümanı olduğunu bir kez daha net şekilde göstermektedir." şeklinde konuştu. Ersoy, turizmi çok boyutlu perspektifle ele alarak buna göre strateji belirlendiklerini ve süreci yalnızca ilk çeyrek verileriyle sınırlı değerlendirmediklerini belirterek, sözlerini şöyle tamamladı: "Özellikle zor bir ikinci çeyreğin ve savaşın yarattığı olumsuzlukların da yoğun hissedileceği bir sürecin bizi beklediğini görebiliyoruz. Çatışma sürecindeki belirsizlik, enerji fiyatlarındaki anlık dalgalanmalar ve küresel ekonomiye getirdiği yükler kalıcı ateşkes sağlanana kadarki süreçte turistik seyahatlerde son dakika rezervasyonlarının yoğun yaşanacağı bir dönemi işaret ediyor. Gerçekleşirse kalıcı ateşkes ile birlikte hızlı bir toparlanmanın olacağını öngörüyoruz. Biz, önümüzdeki dönem için de çalışmalarımızı aynı yoğunluk ve kararlılıkla sürdüreceğiz. Küresel gelişmeleri anlık olarak takip edecek, riskleri proaktif şekilde yönetecek ve gerekli adımları kararlılıkla atacağız."
