afişlerle yürüyüş yaptı. Küba Komünist Partisi Merkez Komite Üyesi Osnay Miguel Colina, burada yaptığı konuşmada, ABD'ye tepki göstererek, "Biz saldıran, nefret, fanatizm ya da çatışma tohumları eken bir halk değiliz. Bizler asil, iyi niyetli ve kazanımları savunmaya hazır bir halkız." ifadesini kullandı. 1 Mayıs yürüyüşüne, eski Devlet Başkanı Raul Castro ve Devlet Başkanı Miguel Diaz Canel de katıldı. Canel, Amerikan merkezli X şirketinin sosyal medya platformundaki hesabından yürüyüşün fotoğraflarına yer vererek, şunları kaydetti: "Küba'nın ne olduğunu bilmek isteyenler, bizi gerçekten tanımak isteyenler, bu 1 Mayıs geçit törenlerini ve etkinliklerini izlesin. Barış için, ablukaya ve savaşa karşı atılan o 6 milyon 230 bin imzayı tek tek okusun. Kendi toprağının sahibi olan ve onun için canını vermeye hazır emekçi bir halkın, işçi bayramını nasıl kutladığını anlamak isteyenler, bu tarihi sabahın eşsiz duygularına dahil olmalıdır." Bu arada Küba hükümetinin paylaştığı bu bilgiye göre, nisan ortasından bu yana yürütülen kampanya kapsamında 6 milyondan fazla kişi, ABD'nin enerji sektörüne yönelik uyguladığı kısıtlamalara ve ekonomik ambargoya karşı imza verdi.
