كوبا تفرج عن 20 سجينا سياسيا

هافانا- (أ ف ب) – أفرجت كوبا عن 20 سجينا سياسيا على الأقل مذ أعلنت الحكومة في وقت سابق من هذا الشهر أنها ستطلق سراح 51 شخصا في إطار اتفاق مع الفاتيكان، وفق ما أفادت منظمة حقوقية الثلاثاء.

وقالت منظمة كوبالكس غير الحكومية ومقرها في ميامي، إن جميع السجناء الذين مُنحوا إفراجا مبكرا سُجنوا لمشاركتهم في احتجاجات ضخمة مناهضة للحكومة في 11 و12 تموز/يوليو 2021.

وأعلنت الحكومة الكوبية في 12 آذار/مارس أنها ستطلق سراح سجناء كبادرة “حسن نية” تجاه الفاتيكان الذي غالبا ما يؤدي دور الوسيط بين هافانا وواشنطن.
