King Charles and Queen Camilla joined by Hollywood star in Royal Ascot procession

Hollywood royalty merged with British aristocracy at Royal Ascot today as Stanley Tucci made a notable appearance in the Royal Procession for Ladies' Day.

The 65-year-old American actor, who has become a familiar face at royal gatherings, rode in the fourth horse-drawn carriage alongside his wife Felicity Blunt.

The couple shared their landau with Lord and Lady Cavendish, friends of the royal family.

Mr Tucci cut a distinguished figure in a black top hat paired with an impeccably tailored suit, while Mrs Blunt, 45, sister of Oscar nominee Emily Blunt, wore an elegant floral dress befitting the occasion's celebrated fashion spectacle.

Speaking to ITV, Mr Tucci later described his ride in the carriage as "amazing," while Mrs Blunt compared the treatment to "real life Cinderella".

The actor added that he loved his suit so much, "I'm never taking it off!"

In February 2025, King Charles welcomed the actor and his wife to Highgrove House for a special UK-Italy dinner celebrating the Slow Food and Slow Fashion movement.

The Devil Wears Prada star "inspired" the menu for the evening, according to a palace statement, with guests including David and Victoria Beckham, Helen Mirren, and Donatella Versace.

The sovereign and Mr Tucci reunited at Windsor Castle in January for the premiere of the King's documentary, Finding Harmony: A King's Vision.

A further meeting followed in March at a Queen's Reading Room reception held at Clarence House.

The King, 77, and Queen Camilla, 78, arrived at the Berkshire racecourse in the first carriage of the procession for the third consecutive day of the summer meeting.

Princess Anne, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh followed in the second landau.

Zara Tindall occupied the third carriage alongside Princess Zahra Aga Khan, Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani, and renowned Irish trainer Willie Mullins.

Within the Royal Enclosure, Queen Camilla was spotted chatting with Carole Middleton, mother of the Princess of Wales.

Carole later joined the King, Zara, and Sophie in the Royal Box.

Royal Ascot holds a treasured place in the summer calendar for the monarch and his consort, who have maintained their attendance throughout this year's fixture.

The prestigious racing week commenced on Tuesday with the Queen Anne Stakes and continues until Saturday.

Their Majesties have upheld the tradition established by the late Queen Elizabeth, whose passion for the sport saw 24 of her horses triumph at Ascot during her historic 70-year reign.
