Katherine Legge to be first woman to attempt Indy 500, Coke 600 'Double'
Katherine Legge will attempt to make history later this month by becoming the first woman to complete the famed motorsports “Double” by racing in both IndyCar’s Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 on the same day.The 45-year-old Legge was already entered to run in the Indianapolis 500, the fifth time she has done so, but she announced Wednesday she has also added the Coca-Cola 600 to her schedule. She is attempting to become the sixth driver to compete in both races on the same day. The Indianapolis 500 is one of the most heralded races in the world, while the Coca-Cola 600 is NASCAR’s longest race and considered one of its crown jewels.Advertisementالمصدر: The Athletic | Source: The Athletic
