Jurgen Klopp reveals the one thing that came close to making him want management return

Jurgen Klopp has finally admitted that he was finally tempted to return to management two years after leaving Liverpool . The German departed Anfield in 2024 following a glittering spell on Merseyside. Since then, Klopp has been linked with a host of roles including with Real Madrid and the Brazilian national side. But he has so far resisted and expressed his happiness acting as head of global soccer with Red Bull . Klopp was present at the official opening of New York Red Bulls’ new training facility this week and has admitted that seeing the brand-new set up had made him crave a potential return to management. "This morning was a moment when I walked in and thought 'oh that's something I could miss,' because so far I didn't miss anything since I stepped down as a manager," Klopp said FOLLOW OUR LIVERPOOL FB PAGE! Latest Reds news and more on our dedicated Facebook page "But going into a building like that on a good weather day ... thank god the weather was not great otherwise I would have maybe gone back [to management]. Really cool." On the facilities, the German added: "It's a good moment for soccer, for Red Bull New York. I had nothing to do with the plans and stuff like this. “I walked through a few months ago and made a few little changes because it's not the first time I'm involved in something like that. It's beautiful and it feels like a proper start." The new training ground is going to get instant usage this summer, with the Brazilian national team set to be based there during the World Cup. On their decision to use the facilities, Klopp said: "I didn't have to convince Brazil, they saw it and wanted to be here. We had to make sure that they didn't use up the full building because we have a soccer team ourself. That's the situation. "I didn't have to convince anybody and [Brazil head coach] Carlo [Ancelotti] definitely not. He knows what is good when he sees it and he saw it." Klopp is set continue his role with Red Bull into the foreseeable future, while his former side Liverpool do not appear to be considering a change in management. Current boss Arne Slot has endured a difficult second season at Anfield but reports have suggested that club chiefs are not considering cutting him adrift. The Dutchman has Liverpool on the verge of a Champions League spot, with Liverpool sitting five points clear of Brighton with a game in hand.
