TÜME Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Abdülkadir Karagöz, etkinlikteki konuşmasında, savunma sanayisindeki teknolojik birikimin tarım ve hayvancılık alanına aktarılmasına yönelik hedeflerini paylaştı, küresel ölçekte savunma, enerji ve gıdanın en kritik üç unsur haline geldiğini söyledi. Türkiye'nin tarımsal hasılasının 75 milyar dolara ulaştığını ancak sosyolojik değişim nedeniyle üretimde yeni bir modele ihtiyaç duyulduğunu belirten Karagöz, şu bilgileri paylaştı: "Dedelerimizde yüzde 90 olan tarım ve hayvancılıkla uğraşma oranı, bizim jenerasyonumuzda yüzde 5'lere düştü. Köyden çıkmanın bir başarı hikayesi olarak özendirildiği sürecin sonunda üretici nüfusumuz yaşlandı. Artık 'buğdayı şuradan, eti buradan alırız' deme şansımız yok. Tam bağımsızlık için arz güvenliğini sağlamak zorundayız. Toprak varlığımız azalırken ve iklim krizi rekolteleri etkilerken, teknolojiyi kullanarak daha az alanda daha fazla ve sağlıklı verim almalıyız." Karagöz, TEKNOFEST'te sergiledikleri inek ve teknoloji kurgusuyla geleneksel tarım algısını değiştirmeyi amaçladıklarını dile getirerek, sözlerini şöyle sürdürdü: "Tarla, köy, tarım ya da hayvancılık dendiği zaman; akla hemen kokan bir ahır, her tarafın gübre ve çamur içinde olduğu o zorlu 'romantizm' karesi geliyor. Biz, zihinlerdeki bu fotoğraf karesini çıkarıp yerine; robotların inek sağdığı, görüntü işleme sistemlerinin kullanıldığı, yemlerin otonom sistemlerle dağıtıldığı, embriyo transferi ve genetik ıslahın yapıldığı modern bir model koymak istedik. Bu modeli de TEKNOFEST 2025’te bir araya gelen Türk mühendisleri olarak hep birlikte inşa ettik." Ege Üniversitesine hibe edecekleri 100 başlık yapay zekaya dayalı otonom çiftliği Eylül 2026'ya kadar tamamlamayı hedeflediklerini dile getiren Karagöz, "Bu merkezlerde hem akademisyenlerimiz kendi yapay zekamızı inşa edecek hem de köylerden gelen gençlerimiz eğitim alacak. Hedefimiz, teknoloji kullanabilen 40 bin gençle Türkiye'nin damızlık ve genetik materyal üretiminde dijital bir ağ kurmaktır." diye konuştu. Üretici ve tüketici arasındaki fiyat istikrarsızlığının çözümünün de verimlilik artışından geçtiğini kaydeden Karagöz, yerli teknoloji ve bilim odaklı üretimle hayvansal verimin dünya standartlarına taşınabileceğini ifade etti. EÜ Rektörü Prof. Dr. Musa Alıcı ise yapay zeka ve ileri teknolojileri eğitim süreçlerine entegre eden bütüncül bir anlayışla hareket ettiklerini bildirdi. Üniversite ve sanayi işbirliğinin somut çıktılara dönüşmesini önemsediklerini vurgulayan Alıcı, kurulan teknolojik merkezlerin öğrencilerin saha deneyimi kazanmalarına ve Türkiye'nin tarımsal gücüne katkı sunmalarına imkan sağlayacağını belirtti.
