Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması'nın finali, Wiener Stadthalle'de yapıldı. Finalde 3. sırada sahneye çıkan İsrailli şarkıcı Noam Bettan, izleyicilerin açtığı Filistin bayraklarıyla protesto edildi. İsrail temsilcisi, şarkısına başladığı sırada seyirciler Filistin bayraklarını dalgalandırdı. Uluslararası Af Örgütü Genel Sekreteri Agnes Callamard, İsrail'in sahnede olduğu anlarda sosyal medya hesabından yaptığı paylaşımda, "Devam eden soykırım, yasa dışı işgal ve 'apartheid' varken Eurovision'da İsrail için bir sahne olmamalı." ifadelerine yer verdi. Eurovision'a İsrail'in katılımını protesto eden İspanya, Slovenya, Hollanda, İzlanda ve İrlanda bu yılki yarışmaya katılmadı. Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması'nın finalinde sırasıyla, Danimarka, Almanya, İsrail, Belçika, Arnavutluk, Yunanistan, Ukrayna, Avustralya, Sırbistan, Malta, Çekya, Bulgaristan, Hırvatistan, İngiltere, Fransa, Moldova, Finlandiya, Polonya, Litvanya, İsveç, Güney Kıbrıs Rum Yönetimi (GKRY), İtalya, Norveç, Romanya ve Avusturya sahne aldı. Jüri ve seyirci oyları sonucunda Bulgaristan temsilcisi Dara, "Bangaranga" isimli şarkısıyla 516 puan alarak birinci oldu. İsrail 343 puanla ikinci olurken, Romanya 296 puanla üçüncü sırada yer aldı. Öte yandan, İsrail’in seyirci oylarının açıklandığı sırada yuhalandığı da duyuldu. İspanya devlet televizyonu RTVE, İsrail'in katılmasından dolayı protesto edip bu yıl katılmadığı Eurovision 2026'nın başlangıcıyla eş zamanlı olarak "Filistin için barış ve adalet" çağrısında bulundu. Bu yıl canlı olarak yayınlamadığı Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması'nın başladığı saatle eş zamanlı olarak bir mesaj yayımlayan RTVE, ekranını kısa süreliğine karartarak, İspanyolca ve İngilizce dillerinde "Eurovision bir yarışmadır, insan hakları ise değildir. Kayıtsızlığa yer yok. Filistin için barış ve adalet." mesajını verdi. Belçika'nın Flaman kamu yayıncısı VRT ise Avrupa Yayın Birliğinin (EBU) Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması'na katılım politikalarına ilişkin tutumunu değiştirmemesi halinde gelecek yıl yarışmaya sanatçı göndermeme ihtimalinin bulunduğunu açıkladı. Eurovision finaline saatler kala ise 1000'den fazla Filistin destekçisi, Viyana'da Christian Broda Meydanı'nda toplanmıştı. İsrail'in yarışmaya katılımını protesto eden göstericiler, Eurovision'un yapıldığı Wiener Stadthalle yakınlarına yürümüştü. "Çocukların ve halkın katili İsrail", "Soykırımı kutlamayın" yazılı pankartlar taşıyan göstericiler, yürüyüş boyunca "İsrail'i boykot edin", "Soykırıma sahne yok" sloganları atmıştı. Çok sayıda uluslararası aktivist, sanatçı ve sivil toplum kuruluşu temsilcisi, gösteride yaptıkları konuşmada, Avrupa Yayın Birliğini (EBU), İsrail'i yarışmadan menetmeye çağırmıştı. Filistin'e destek mesajı veren aktivistler, İsrail'e yaptırım uygulanması, Avusturya başta olmak üzere ülkelerin İsrail ile tüm siyasi, ekonomik ve askeri işbirliklerini sona erdirmeleri ve Gazze'de soykırımın durdurulması gerektiğini vurgulamıştı. Cuma günü de "Şarkı Protestosu-Soykırıma Sahne Yok" başlığıyla başkentteki Maria-Theresien Meydanı'nda, düzenlenen konsere, çok sayıda uluslararası sanatçı ile aktivist katılmıştı. İsrail’in Eurovision'a katılımına yönelik tepkileri görünür kılmayı ve Filistin’e destek mesajı vermeyi amaçlayan konserde, Gazze'deki soykırım, işgal ve insani duruma dikkati çeken performanslar sergilenmişti. Etkinlik kapsamında birçok aktivist, gazeteci ve sanatçı, İsrail'in Gazze'deki soykırımına karşı dayanışma mesajı veren konuşmalar yapmıştı. Konuşmacılar, soykırım yapan İsrail’i menetmeyen Avrupa Yayın Birliğine (EBU) tepki göstermişti. Yarışmanın 12 Mayıs'ta yapılan ilk yarı finalinde sahne alan İsrailli şarkıcı Bettan, "soykırımı durdurun" sloganıyla da protesto edilmişti. Bazı seyirciler Filistin bayrağı açarak İsrail'in soykırımına uğrayan Gazze halkıyla dayanışma mesajı vermişti. Üzerlerine "Özgür Filistin" yazıları yazan, Filistin bayrakları çizen ve "soykırımı durdurun" sloganı atan göstericiler salondan zor kullanılarak çıkartılmıştı. Yarı final öncesi de başkent Viyana sokaklarında Filistin'e destek gösterileri düzenlenmişti. Bu arada, İsrail'in katılımı nedeniyle boykot kararlarının gölgesinde devam eden yarışmanın izlenme sayılarında düşüş yaşanıyor. İtalya'da devlet televizyonu RAI'de yayımlanan ilk yarı finalini izleyenlerin sayısı 1 milyon 856 bin oldu. Ülkede geçen yıl 2 milyon 489 bin olarak açıklanan izleyici sayısının, bu yıl önemli ölçüde azalması dikkati çekti. İsrail'in katılımı nedeniyle boykot kararı alan Hollanda'da ise izlenme sayısı 2025'e göre yüzde 42 azaldı. Dünkü ilk yarı final, ortalama 541 bin izleyici tarafından seyredildi. Buna göre yarı final, 2012'deki ilk yarı finalden bu yana Hollanda'da en az izlenen yarışma oldu. Geçen seneye kıyasla bu yıl yapılan yarışmanın ilk yarı finali, İngiltere'de 253 bin, İsveç'te 316 bin, Belçika'da yaklaşık 430 bin daha az izlendi.
