Tümen birliklerinin Lübnan'ın güneyindeki Nebatiye kentine bağlı Bint Cubeyl'in kuşatmasını tamamladığını kaydetti. Paraşütcü, komando ve Givati (Dağ) birliklerinin 98. Tümen komutasında, Lübnan-İsrail sınırına yaklaşık 4 kilometre uzaklıktaki Bin Cubeyl'de işgali genişletmek için yoğun kara saldırılarına başladığını aktaran Adraee, karada çatışmaların yaşandığını, ayrıca İsrail ordusunun hava saldırıları düzenlediğini belirtti. Adraee, saldırılarda 100'den fazla Hizbullah mensubunun öldüğünü, onlarca altyapı unsurunun yok edildiği ve silahlara el konulduğunu ileri sürerek bölgede İsrail saldırılarının süreceği tehdidinde bulundu. İsrail basını, ordunun Bint Cubeyl'e yönelik bir haftadır yoğun saldırılar gerçekleştirdiğini, İsrail sınırına hakim bir konumda olan bu bölgeden Hizbullah'ın roket atışları yaptığını ileri sürdü. İsrail ordusunun kuşattığı bölgeye erişimi kestiği ve takviye gelmesini engellediği, şimdi ise farklı yönlerden ilçeye girip binalarda tarama yaptığı iddia edilerek İsrail ordusunun tarama faaliyetlerinden sonra tüm binaları imha edebileceği belirtildi. İsrail ordusundan 2 Mart'ta yapılan açıklamada, Lübnan'dan füze atıldığının tespit edilmesinin ardından ülkenin kuzeyinde sirenlerin devreye girdiği belirtilmişti. Daha sonra Lübnan geneline hava saldırıları başlattığını duyuran ve başkent Beyrut'u hedef alan İsrail ordusu, havadan ve denizden yoğun saldırılar düzenlediği Lübnan'da kara işgalini genişletme kararı almıştı. Lübnan Sağlık Bakanlığı, İsrail ordusunun 2 Mart'tan bu yana ülkeye düzenlediği saldırılarda 2 bin 55 kişinin hayatını kaybettiğini bildirmişti. Lübnan hükümeti de ülkede yerinden edilenlerin sayısının 1 milyon 162 bini geçtiğini açıklamıştı.
