Gen Soleimani was assassinated in January 2020 by an American drone strike at Baghdad Airport in Iraq, which was ordered by Trump.Hosseiny moved to the US in 2015 on a student visa and was granted asylum in 2019. She received permanent residency in 2023, under the Biden administration. Afshar entered the US on a tourist visa in 2015 and was also granted asylum in 2019.
