Iran accuses Israel of attacking desalination plants in Kuwait
TEHRAN, April 3. /TASS/. Tehran has denied responsibility for the recent strikes on a power and desalination plant in Kuwait, instead attributing the incident to provocation by Israel and the United States, according to a statement from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the elite branch of Iran's armed forces. "The illegal attack by the Zionist regime's forces on Kuwait's desalination facilities underscores the recklessness and villainy of the Zionist occupation regime," the IRGC said in a statement cited by Iran's state broadcaster. The statement strongly condemned what it described as an inhumane act, urging all Middle Eastern nations to remain vigilant against provocations from the United States and Israel that aim to destabilize the region. Earlier, Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy confirmed that both a power station and a desalination plant had sustained damage as a result of what they described as an Iranian strike.المصدر: TASS | Source: TASS
