Inside Jake Hall and Chloe Lewis' turbulent relationship as TOWIE star dies abroad

Jake Hall and Chloe Lewis were once one of TOWIE's most explosive couples , with cheating allegations, emotional rows and dramatic break-ups playing out in front of millions of viewers. Following the tragic news of Jake's death, fans of The Only Way Is Essex have been looking back at the reality star's turbulent relationship history, and in particular his on/off romance with Chloe, which became one of the defining storylines of the ITVBe series during his time on the show. Jake first burst onto TOWIE in 2015 during series 14 as the ex-boyfriend of Chloe Lewis and a friend of Vas J Morgan. But it didn't take long before he made headlines among the cast after being accused of kissing Lauren Pope during a night out. Although Jake initially denied anything had happened, it later emerged the pair had in fact kissed - instantly cementing his reputation as one of the show's biggest love rats. Despite the early controversy, Jake quickly set his sights on winning Chloe back and the former couple eventually rekindled their romance. Their relationship soon became one of the most talked-about storylines in Essex, with viewers watching as the pair swung between passionate reunions and explosive arguments. At the centre of much of the drama were constant rumours surrounding Jake's loyalty. During his time on the show, allegations began circulating that he had slept with fellow TOWIE star Megan McKenna while he and Chloe were together. The rumours caused major tensions between the couple and added to growing cracks in their already fragile relationship. As weeks went on, their rows became more intense on-screen, with Chloe begging both Jake and Megan for answers. Despite Megan denying the rumours, Chloe ended their relationship as the pair shared an emotional final scene where he read out a letter he had written for her. In a brutally honest confrontation, Jake admitted to Chloe: "In eight years I'm not saying I've been 100 per cent faithful..." The confession effectively marked the end of their relationship and viewers watched as the pair went their separate ways after years of ups and downs. While their romance ultimately ended in heartbreak, Jake remained one of the show's most memorable characters thanks to his chaotic love life and bad-boy reputation. However, away from reality TV, Jake went on to carve out an impressive career in fashion. After leaving TOWIE in 2016, he focused on building his clothing brand Prevu, which became hugely successful and attracted celebrity fans including Bella Hadid and Romeo Beckham . The label enjoyed more than six years of success before entering administration in 2022 after JD Sports Fashion sold it to Frasers Group. Speaking about the collapse of the company, Jake later admitted how emotional the experience had been. He said: "After my previous corporate partnership deal, I no longer hold any ownership in the brand I founded and put my life and soul into. "I'm going to come back mainly to show anyone who is going through something similar in any way that we don’t give up." Reflecting on the early days of the brand, he added: "When I look back at the beginning, setting the brand up in my garage with no money, I knew it was more than a brand of clothing, it was a brand about life, a brand authentic to me about personality, emotions and real feelings." Jake later launched a new label called By Jake Hall in 2022 and continued to make waves in the fashion industry. The brand proved successful enough to attract another huge celebrity supporter - David Beckham . In November 2023, Jake proudly revealed he had dressed the football icon for an eyewear campaign. As well as fashion, Jake also pursued a music career in recent years. According to his social media profiles, he became part of a band called Yours Collective alongside Sonny Hall, MOBO Award-nominated singer Maverick Sabre and producer New Machine, who has worked with stars including Ed Sheeran and Jorja Smith. The group released their first single, Calling, in March 2023. At the time, Jake described the release as a "proud moment" and wrote online: "Breaking f**king boundaries of a creative mind!" Following his split from Chloe, Jake moved on with Real Housewives of Cheshire star Missé Beqiri. The pair became engaged in 2016 and later welcomed a daughter, River, in November 2017. However, their relationship also faced difficulties. In December 2018, Jake was given a restraining order preventing him from contacting Missé for 28 days, although the pair later reconciled before quietly splitting in 2021. At the time, sources claimed the relationship had become "rocky" following a difficult period for the couple. Meanwhile Chloe eventually moved on with fellow former TOWIE star Dan Edgar. The reality star was found dead at a Spanish holiday villa in Majorca after smashing into a glass door in a tragic accident. Jake was found in a pool of blood with head wounds, caused by shards of glass. It's claimed that he had been out partying and decided to carry on the night at his rented property. Four men and two women who were also staying at the address are believed to have been questioned by police. The six people are understood to have spoken to police and told officers they had been out for the evening and returned to the property in the early hours of Wednesday morning. Police were called to the address in Santa Margalida, in the north of Majorca at 7:30am local time. An autopsy is due to take place in the coming hours in the Majorcan capital, Palma, while the ongoing investigation is being carried out by the Civil Guard. A police source told The Sun : "We are focusing on the theory the victim died in a tragic accident after hitting his head against the glass door but it is still too early to say definitely what happened."
