Over the past night, Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 286 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions and the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported. One was injured as drone debris fell on an industrial site in the village of Volna in the Krasnodar Region, setting fire to equipment. Another person was injured in Taman. And more drone debris landed on an industrial site in central Russia’s Yaroslavl. No one has been reported injured. TASS has compiled key details about the impact. - Between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time (5:00 p.m. GMT) on May 12 and 7:00 a.m. Moscow time (4:00 a.m. GMT) on May 13, alert air defense capabilities intercepted and destroyed 286 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian regions, according to Russia’s top brass. - Namely, the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov, Tambov, Yaroslavl, Oryol, Tula, Kaluga, Ryazan, Astrakhan and Krasnodar Regions, as well as the republics of Kalmykia and Crimea, and the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea were affected, the Defense Ministry specified. - An attack using as many as 20 drones was repelled in southern Russia’s Rostov Region, Governor Yury Slyusar reported via Max. - One person was injured, and equipment caught fire as drone debris fell on the premises of an industrial site in the village of Volna in the Krasnodar Region, the regional operational headquarters said in a post on Max channel. - Emergency response services are working at the scene. - In Taman in the Krasnodar Region, drone debris fell at several locations, leaving one injured, according to the region’s operational headquarters. - The debris fell near two private homes as well. - Air defenses and electronic warfare repulsed a Ukrainian drone attack targeting Yaroslavl. No one was injured as drone debris fell on an industrial site there, Governor Mikhail Yevrayev reported on his channel on Max. - A wind generator as well as the roof and windows of a private home were damaged by falling drone debris in the Rostov Region, Governor Yury Slyusar said on Max. - Comprehensive and technical schools have switched to distance learning in the Russian Volga Republic of Chuvashia, and the republic’s Education Ministry recommended that higher education establishments, too, transition to online classes amid the drone alert, Chuvash Health Minister Dmitry Zakharov said via Telegram. - Cheboksary Mayor Stanislav Trofimov took to his channel on Max to advise city residents to stay home, if possible, or avoid excessive commuting around the city.
