Ignacio Ramonet Visits Morocco for Lectures on AI, Journalism, and Geopolitics

Al Bayane newspaper will host journalist Ignacio Ramonet from April 14 to 19. A former director of the French edition of Le Monde Diplomatique, currently head of its Spanish-language editorial team, and a former professor at the Royal College in Rabat, Ramonet will lead, among other meetings and exchanges, two exclusive conferences in Casablanca and Rabat. These events will address highly topical themes, offering expert insight into the future of journalism and contemporary geopolitics in a rapidly shifting global landscape.

Ramonet will deliver his first conference on Wednesday, April 15, at 4:30 p.m., at the Auditorium of the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. The lecture, entitled “Journalism in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and the Quest for Truth,” will explore pressing questions around information, technology, and the search for truth in the digital era. 

The following day, Thursday, April 16, at 5:00 p.m. in Rabat, he will present a second conference at the Auditorium of the National Higher Institute of Music and Choreographic Arts, on : “Power and Law: Geostrategy in a Multipolar World.”

Following these engagements, Ramonet will travel to Tangier, the city of his childhood, for reunions and visits to both its iconic and contemporary landmarks.

Ramonet’s presence in Morocco -an influential author and a recognized figure in journalism and international relations- lends this dual event significant media and intellectual visibility.
