The British footwear and handbag chain was bought by major retailer Next after it plunged into administration. Next acquired the luxury brand for £2.5m as part of a pre-pack administration deal in January. It also took over all intellectual property rights and £1.3m for the current stock. So much so, only three high-profile stores remained post-deal: Chelsea, Mayfair, and the Bluewater shopping centre. The other 33 shops and nine retail concessions had to permanently close. On top of this, many jobs were lost, affecting approximately 320 employees. Staff with redundancy claims are currently being managed by Interpath.
