A man who killed his Miss Switzerland finalist wife and put her body parts in a blender has been jailed for life. Marc Rieben, 42, was found guilty of the brutal murder of Kristina Joksimovic, 38, after he flew into a rage as they argued over a divorce on February 13, 2024, a court heard. He was accused of taking a knife, jigsaw tool and garden shears to his partner and hacking at her body. The prosecution also gave horrifying details of how he "pureed" her remains in a blender. The victim's father discovered parts of her body at her home, after she failed to pick up her kids. Kristina was killed in the quiet village of in Binnigen, near Basel, and this trial, over two years on from her death has now ended with a guilty verdict and Rieben jailed for life. Judge Daniel Schmid said as he passed the sentencing: “There are cases that make fiction become reality. This case has changed our reality. “No court ruling can fill the void left by the loss of a loved one.
