Police say the matter is not believed to be suspiciousNewsOlivia Beeson and Callum Hoare02:20, 08 Apr 2026View Image(Image: Getty Images/iStockphoto)A shocked council worker stumbled upon a human skull hanging from a tree in a London woodland.‌The grim discovery was made in north London by an Enfield council worker on Tuesday, 7 April, at around midday.‌Emergency services rushed to Brooke Woods after the remains were spotted.‌Officers have since recovered 80 per cent of the remaining bones, which were found beneath the skull along with ID. Police have said that it is estimated the body had been there since September 2022.‌A Met spokesperson said: "Around 12:00hrs on Tuesday, 7 April, officers were called to Brooke Wood, Enfield, following the discovery of suspected human remains."Officers attended.
