Fire services were called to Little Cribb Street in Milton, almost 3km west of the city centre, at about 1.50pm on Wednesday. A spokeswoman for the service confirmed ten crews attended the blaze. A local posted a photo on social media of the dark smoke billowing above the city, writing: 'MASSIVE fire just started around Milton way.' On arrival, fire services discovered a person was stuck on the roof. 'They have been safely brought down to the ground using one of our aerial safety appliances,' the spokeswoman told the Daily Mail. 'The main reason to use the aerial appliance was that it is a construction zone.' The fire was brought under control by 2.15pm.
