Hordes of illegal migrants use LADDERS to cross border into mainland Europe, shocking footage reveals

GB News can exclusively reveal astonishing new footage showing a surge of illegal migrants piling into mainland Europe.

Videos exposed by Home and Security Editor Mark White show gangs of men pouring over the barbed wire border from Turkey into Bulgaria using ladders.

The videos also depict adverts for drivers to be paid thousands of euros to cram them into the boots of cars and smuggle them into the eurozone, with the hope of reaching Britain, among other western European countries.

The staggering footage has emerged as the UK is set to reach an eye-watering 200,000 illegal arrivals since the migrant crisis began.

Analysing the footage, Mark White told GB News that for illegal migrants travelling from Iran, Iraq or Syria, it is "much easier" for them to cross the borders in this way.

He said: "We know that migrants have come through southern Europe into Italy, into Spain, into Greece, as well through the islands from North Africa.

"But for many of those that are coming from Iran, Iraq, Syria, it's much easier for them to come up through Turkey and they're coming in ever greater numbers."

Mark observed the "huge chain" of migrants in the footage, walking through Turkey in a bid to cross into Europe and then to France.

He explained: "There are hundreds of them, thousands over a number of days walking through Turkey, heading up towards the border in Hungary.

"They're in Turkey at the moment, but they're heading through and when they get up to the border, the likes of Bulgaria, this is what they do, use ladders."

Mark stressed that due to the "hundreds of miles of border" in these countries, it is often not patrolled, leading to the migrants successfully crossing the barbed wire fence.

He told GB News: "They're not guarded really to any extent, so they come along with ladders and they just climb these fairly flimsy fences.

"There's tunnels underneath some of the fencing as well. Some areas are guarded and there's roving patrols so the migrants might be unlucky, but for the most part they're getting through."

Reacting to the videos advertising for drivers to transport illegal migrants to their destinations, Mark said that it is helping to "prop up a billion dollar people smuggling industry".

He made clear: "They're looking for drivers in Croatia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Greece, saying we pay from €2,000 to €8,000.

"In one of the videos, you can see the back of this vehicle opens, stuffed full of illegal immigrants, them running across the fields, having passed through the border into the European Union.

"In another video, a vehicle's just arrived to meet a group of migrants that have crossed the border in Greece, and exactly the same thing.

"They stuff themselves into this car and then they're taken further into Europe towards these northern European countries.

"And of course, many of them making their way over towards France with a view to getting across the English Channel."

Asked by host Martin Daubney how the crisis can be stopped, Mark argued that the "only way" to deter illegal migrants is a deterrent "like the Rwanda plan".

He concluded: "I can't see that you can stem this tide, to be honest, unless you have a proper deterrent that says when anyone crosses the Channel, you're going to be sent straight back out of the country to your country of origin or to a third country.

"Something like the Rwanda deal that the previous Government proposed. That's the only thing that's going to stop the flow of migrants towards in particular the United Kingdom."
