A new scandal occurred following Siilawy's remarks regarding Islam during a live broadcast. While speaking to his followers about his interpretation of Quranic verses, he made statements that downplayed the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) role in conveying the message and explaining the Quran, referring to him as a mere business manager.

Siilawy also blasted some individuals he described as uneducated for their misunderstanding of Quranic interpretations and texts. He then provided his own interpretations of Quranic texts, such as the narrative of Adam (peace be upon him).

During the program, Siilawy also discussed his preference for Christianity, prompting others to accuse him of apostasy from Islam.

These words drew sharp condemnation from his audience and family, as well as requests to unfollow him on social media. At the time of this article, he had lost around 100,000 Instagram followers. 

Siilawy's father said, "May God guide him and bring him back to the right path."

The words he made, which were deemed blasphemous against Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), spurred his father, Ziad Siilawy, to publicly condemn him and his behavior in a narrative posted on his company's account, which he later deleted. He emphasized that he had severed all relations with him, just as his mother had done years before.

After the news of his disownment circulated, his father simply stated, "May God guide him and bring him back to the right path."

Bashar Siilawy, a relative of Siilawy, says that he requires urgent assistance

Bashar Siilawy, Siilawy's relative, asked for help in various stories, imploring people not to let the attacks on him drive him to suicide but to seek therapy for him. He stated, "This man, my brothers, is not like this at all. This individual requires immediate assistance, as well as the presence of others. I am trying, as are others. I just want you to speak a kind word and pray for him so that God will guide him and heal him. This man, my brothers, has a medical ailment. The doctors and specialists comprehend what I am saying."

He went on: "This man needs everyone's help, brothers, and it's critical. I swear to God, do not be the reason for his suicide; instead, be the reason for his therapy. This individual requires professionals; he does not need me or anyone else. He needs qualified individuals to assist him. This condition is a medical ailment. People are saying, 'Go read about it.' I was against it and used to condemn it. Don't be like that, brothers; this ailment is a medical condition, and this man requires assistance. I'm hoping that anyone who can help, even if it's just 1%, will step forward. This individual doesn't need anyone to reject him; he simply needs assistance."

In another article, Bashar explained that he isn't concerned with followers or social media but rather with the humanitarian side of Siilawy's dilemma, saying, "I'm not asking you to follow him or adore him. I'm not concerned about his site or any of the other social media platforms. What I desire and hope for is that he repents and returns to God.

He also stated: "I want the Hussam we know to return. I want him to mend his relationship with God before he mends his relationship with people. I don't want him to leave this world in such a state."

The Jordanian Artists Syndicate's Response to Siilawy's Statements

The Jordanian Artists Syndicate confirmed on its official Facebook site that Siilawy is not a member and does not recognize him as an artist, referring to him as an "imposter."

The syndicate, which did not mention Siilawy's name in its statement, also stated that it had followed with interest the videos and statements circulating on social media platforms from an individual impersonating an "artist," which contained unacceptable religious insults and fallacies that have no connection to the societal and cultural values ​​upon which authentic Jordanian art is based.

The Jordanian Artists Syndicate stressed that the individual in question has no affiliation with the organization, is not included in its official records, and the Syndicate has never worked with or recognized him in any professional or union role. The Syndicate strongly opposes any disrespect to religious values or attempts to use art to hurt society or cause conflict. It asserts that art conveys a noble message based on respect for national and religious beliefs, and it helps to raise cultural awareness. It cannot be used to spread falsehoods or violations.

The Syndicate stated that it reserves the right to take all necessary legal action, in conjunction with the competent authorities, if these activities continue or undermine the reputation of the Jordanian creative community.

Siilawy's provocative video sparked widespread outcry on social media, with calls for his accountability.

Siilawy experienced a significant backlash immediately following the release of the video denigrating the Prophet. Followers' opinions were divided: the majority demanded his accountability under the hashtag "#HoldSilawiAccountable," viewing his statements as a clear disrespect for religions and calling for his legal prosecution.

Another group pointed out that his statements coincide with the news of his separation from his wife and his previous claims of suffering from bipolar disorder, suggesting that his current situation is a public "nervous breakdown" that requires therapy.

Arrest warrant issued for Hussam Siilawy 

A senior security source revealed to Roya News that the Public Security Directorate's Cybercrime Unit has initiated an inquiry into an online video featuring Hussam Siilawy that contains explicit insults to Islam and the Prophet Muhammad.

The source told Roya News that Siilawy is now outside the Kingdom and that an arrest order would be filed to ensure his prosecution. According to the source, the appropriate authorities would issue an arrest warrant for him once he returns to Jordan in order to complete the investigations and take legal action against him.
