Furious locals in Mansfield have told GB News that Sir Keir Starmer should "clear off" and "give someone else a go", as pressure mounts on him to resign.

Speaking to National Reporter Jack Carson, voters expressed their outrage at the Prime Minister amid rallying calls for him to step down.

Launching a scathing attack on Sir Keir, one local told GB News: "He's the most useless Prime minister I have ever known in my lifetime.

"He's lost the country, and it's time he should realise that he should clear off and let somebody else have a go."

However, the Briton was unsure as to who would replace Sir Keir should a leadership election be triggered.

He admitted: "Although there is no one to have a go. We want a general election."

Branding Labour the "U-turn Government", another local was unsure as to who should take over should Sir Keir step down.

He told GB News: "I don't know who is the right party, that's the problem.

"Because they all say, 'oh, we'll do this, this, this and this', but do they actually? Look at the Labour Party, they are the U-turn Government."

Speaking to a British veteran, he hit out at Sir Keir and declared he would "never vote for him again".

He told GB News: "So Operation Banner veterans like myself, he threw them under the bus.

"So I'll never vote for him again, I can't see me voting Labour ever again."

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

Sir Keir Starmer

Speaking to another Mansfield resident about the fate of the Prime Minister, he simply declared: "Never voted Labour, never will. Have a nice day now."

Following the King's Speech in Government today, Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch took a brutal swipe at Sir Keir and his MPs, branding them "arrogant" and unable to "run a coup".

She told the House of Commons: "I know they don’t want to hear it, Mr Speaker, look at them. They are so arrogant.

"They want to lead our country, but they can’t even lead a coup. They cannot handle being in Government."

Making light of the situation, Sir Keir hit back at Mrs Badenoch with a series of jokes, branding her scathing speech a "ray of sunshine".

He told MPs: "Let me also thank the Leader of the Opposition for the usual warm and generous nature of her contribution.

"In difficult days, her input is always a ray of sunshine. But we do have one thing in common, our parties both had tough results in the local elections last week.

"The difference is, she hasn't noticed."
