ALBAWABA - Police visited Brian Hickerson after Hayden Panettiere died under investigation.
Hayden Panettiere's on-and-off boyfriend, and at one point her abuser, was visited by police after it was discovered that he, along with his brother, was present at the South Carolina townhome where medical personnel attempted but ultimately failed to revive the actor over the weekend, and she died, according to a redacted police report.
In the days following the actor's death, local investigators paid a visit to Brian and Zach Hickerson's grandmother's home in Greenville, South Carolina, to check on their well-being. On Monday, the Greenville County Coroner's Office stated that the reason and manner of her death were still under investigation and that her corpse showed no visible indications of trauma.
Page Six stated that on Wednesday around 8:20 a.m., officers knocked on many doors at Betty Ellison's Greenville house. No one answered, and the officers left without speaking with the two guys. According to the outlet, Zach Hickerson was home at the time and had kept the blinds closed all morning. Officers returned to the home later Wednesday morning, checked on the residents' well-being, and then left after approximately 10 minutes, according to the outlet.

The Greenville Police Department's heavily redacted incident report reveals that the two brothers were present at the townhome rental where Panettiere died. An officer noted that Zach Hickerson identified the actor to authorities as "his brother's girlfriend"; subsequently, when the actor became unresponsive to "advanced cardiac life support measures" performed by EMTs, Brian Hickerson became very distraught, according to the report.
According to the complaint, Brian Hickerson provided officers a "bag of medication" on Sunday that he claimed she had been taking prior to her death.
Lesley Vogel, Panettiere's mother, told NBC News that her daughter "lost her way" with Hickerson.
"This person in her life that we have been trying to get rid of for quite some time was with her at her death, and that was Brian Hickerson," Vogel said to the network.
The Heroes and Nashville actor's relationship with Brian Hickerson was key to the issue of domestic abuse in Panettiere's book, This Is Me: A Reckoning, which was released earlier this year.
The couple met in 2018 while out in West Hollywood, and following a "lightning-fast" relationship, he was soon hitting her so violently that she couldn't leave the house for weeks, according to her book.
