Kane, 32, was ruled out of England's 1-0 loss at home to Japan on Tuesday after injuring his ankle in training, having been rested for their 1-1 draw with Uruguay.‌The striker hasn't recovered in time for Bayern's trip to Freiburg, and faces a race against the clock to be fit for next week's quarter-final first leg. "Harry trained well until Sunday, then he felt something in his ankle while with the national team," Kompany told a press conference on Friday.‌"That will have an impact on tomorrow's game, he won't be available. Nevertheless, I'm positive about Tuesday. Of course, it's not an ideal situation - I would have liked him to play against Freiburg - but given the current situation, that won't be possible."‌Bayern boast a nine-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga, but they'll be desperate to have Kane available for their visit to Madrid.
