Haridwar’s Kanwar route saw a fatal four-bike collision, leaving three people dead and six injured late Friday night, police said.The accident took place on the Kaliyar road, popularly known as the Kanwar Patri in Uttarakhand, amid poor visibility due to darkness and rain, police officers said, adding that the two motorcycles travelling in opposite directions collided head-on, following which two other bikes coming from behind rammed into the vehicles. Three youths died, while six others were injured. Postmortem of the deceased were conducted and our further legal formalities are underway,” Superintendent of Police (rural) SC Suyal said. Police identified the deceased as Ayan (18) from Bijauli; Raju Singh (24) from Rehmatpur; and Rajeev Singh (22) from Saharanpur. He was referred by doctors at Roorkee Civil Hospital to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh, for further treatment. It came days after four people were killed and three others injured after an Eco van crashed into a commercial vehicle parked on the roadside near Manimai temple on the Haridwar highway in Doiwala of Dehradun on Wednesday.
