Hamza Ali Abbasi's sister involved in alleged money laundering case

Hamza Ali Abbasi’s sister, Dr Fazeela Abbasi, has been named in an alleged money laundering case, according to various news outlets. According to the FIR, approximately Rs25 billion were traced across 22 bank accounts linked to Dr Fazeela, with transactions reportedly routed to Dubai and the United States. Dr Fazeela's declared annual income reportedly ranged between RS400,000 to Rs600,000, increasing suspicion regarding her financial status. The case, which had earlier been closed by the Islamabad High Court, has now been taken up by a sessions court following the cancellation of Dr Fazeela's interim bail. Abbasi and his sister are both well-known figures with the actor regarded as one of Pakistan's leading stars while Dr Fazeela is among the most prominent aestheticians in the country. The family is widely known for maintaining a strong public reputation and having influential connections. The matter remains under investigation after a plea against the Federal Investigation Agency’s earlier decision was accepted, with authorities now probing the source of the funds.
