MP to take leave of absence due to 'burnout'5 days agoShareSaveAdd as preferred on GoogleJoe SkirkowskiBristolPACarla Denyer made history in 2024 after being elected as Bristol's first Green MPAn MP has announced that she will be taking "several weeks" off from work to recover from mental and physical health symptoms relating to burnout.Carla Denyer, who represents Bristol Central, said she made the "difficult" decision to take time off after advice from her doctor.Denyer said she had been struggling with persistent health issues, which she attempted to manage alongside the long hours and significant responsibility her work entails."Burnout is a condition that does not tend to get better on its own.
