Green Bay Packers' new DC Jonathan Gannon describes vision for his defense

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Part of what appealed to Jonathan Gannon about the Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator job had nothing to do with defense.“Jordan Love, that was a huge thing to me,” Gannon said. “I think he’s in the top tier.”Gannon has faced the Packers’ starting quarterback three times. The first came on Nov. 27, 2022, on Sunday Night Football. Gannon was the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive coordinator when Green Bay visited Lincoln Financial Field and Aaron Rodgers left the game in the third quarter, fearing he had punctured his lung. Love completed 6 of 9 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown, with his best throw coming on a hole shot to running back Aaron Jones that Jones dropped.
