جونسون يستبعد شن عملية برية أمريكية في إيران

استبعد رئيس مجلس النواب الأمريكي، مايك جونسون، توجّه واشنطن لتنفيذ عملية عسكرية برية في إيران، مؤكدا عدم وجود قوات أمريكية برية على الأراضي الإيرانية.

وفي تصريحات مصورة نشرتها مجلة "نيوزويك"، قال جونسون: "ليس لدينا قوات برية هناك، ولا أعتقد أن هناك توجها من هذا النوع"، مشيرا إلى أن زيادة الوجود العسكري تختلف جوهريا عن إطلاق عملية برية.

ودعا جونسون، إيران إلى ضرورة مراقبة التعزيزات العسكرية الأمريكية في المنطقة وأخذها بعين الاعتبار.

وتدرس واشنطن خيار عملية برية للسيطرة على الجزيرة (خرج) حيث أفادت شبكة "سي إن إن" بأن نحو ألف جندي أمريكي من الفرقة 82 المحمولة جوا يستعدون للانتشار في الشرق الأوسط خلال الأيام المقبلة، رغم أجواء التفاؤل التي عبر عنها الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب بشأن المحادثات مع إيران.

هذا ونقلت وكالة "تسنيم" عن مصدر عسكري إيراني تأكيده أن أي اعتداء على جزيرة خرج سيمهد الطريق أمام إيران لـ"إيجاد حالة من انعدام الأمن في البحر الأحمر ومضيق باب المندب".
