Glonass wants to supply products to African nations — CEO
ST. PETERSBURG, April 3. /TASS/. Glonass is considering an opportunity of exporting its technological solutions, including the ERA-GLONASS emergency response system, to African countries, CEO Alexey Raikevich said at the International Transport and Logistical Forum. "Speaking about the export potential, I would certainly start with the transfer of this solution, this technology, essentially the out-of-the-box solution that we can and are highly interested in bringing to the African market," he said, referring to the emergency notification program. The company is also promoting solutions for control of highly automated agricultural, road construction and other machinery in international markets, and the so-called retrofit solutions to automate legacy machinery, Raikevich noted. "These are the things we are now bringing to the international, including Afrtican, markets. We see the interest in making cost efficient projects in Africa," the chief executive added.
