كشفت تقارير صحفية بريطانية أن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم قد يفرض عقوبات تأديبية على منتخب إيران في حال قررت طهران الانسحاب من نهائيات بطولة كأس العالم 2026.

وبحسب التقارير، فإن مونديال 2026 سيقام في ثلاث دول هي الولايات المتحدة وكندا والمكسيك، بمشاركة 48 منتخباً لأول مرة في تاريخ البطولة.

وجاء الحديث عن احتمال الانسحاب بعد تصريحات لوزير الشباب والرياضة الإيراني أحمد دنيا مالي ألمح فيها إلى إمكانية عدم مشاركة المنتخب الإيراني في البطولة، في ظل التوترات السياسية والعسكرية المتصاعدة في المنطقة.

وأوضحت صحيفة الغارديان أن لوائح الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم تلزم الاتحادات الوطنية المشاركة باستكمال إجراءات التسجيل وتقديم الوثائق المطلوبة ضمن المواعيد المحددة، إضافة إلى الالتزام بخوض المباريات حتى خروج المنتخب رسمياً من المنافسات.

وتنص اللوائح على فرض غرامات مالية على أي منتخب ينسحب من البطولة، حيث تبدأ العقوبات المالية من نحو 274 ألف يورو، وقد تصل إلى 549 ألف يورو إذا تم الانسحاب قبل أقل من 30 يوماً من المباراة الأولى.

كما قد يُلزم الاتحاد المنسحب بإعادة جميع الأموال التي حصل عليها ضمن برامج دعم الاستعداد للمونديال، إضافة إلى أي مبالغ مرتبطة بالمشاركة في البطولة.

وتحتفظ اللجنة التأديبية في الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم بحق فرض إجراءات إضافية، من بينها استبعاد الاتحاد من بطولات دولية لاحقة أو استبدال المنتخب المنسحب بمنتخب آخر، فضلاً عن إمكانية المطالبة بتعويضات مالية في حال تسبب الانسحاب بخسائر تنظيمية أو مالية.

وكانت قرعة البطولة قد أوقعت منتخب إيران في مجموعة تضم بلجيكا ونيوزيلندا ومصر، على أن يخوض مباراته الأولى أمام منتخب نيوزيلندا في السادس عشر من يونيو المقبل.
