In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember that building our lives on Jesus Christ leads to eternal protection and security.

"There's a time when my life revolved around exercise. Now exercise is good, but when I became a Christian, I realised that it became something I was building my life upon.

"My confidence, my identity, who I was and what I was living for was all wrapped up in my health and fitness. I wasn't building my life on a strong foundation because eventually I'm going to shrivel up and die. And it didn't free me for all kinds of insecurities and anxieties.

"In the Bible, Jesus is described as a living stone. Now, this metaphor describes Jesus as invincibility and eternal durability. Building our lives on him leads to eternal protection and security.

"We live for something greater than ourselves that will endure forever, producing a sense of confidence and certainty.

"He's also living because he is alive and has eternal life in himself, able to give life to his people. We don't come to a building made from stone that will weather and ruin over time. We come to a living person who provides an unbreakable foundation to live on."
