In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember the feeding of the 5,000, which teaches that Jesus Christ can accomplish extraordinary things with even the smallest offering.
This should encourage believers not to be discouraged by their perceived limitations but to trust God to use what they have.
“I think the reason this resonates with us is that most of us know the feeling. We would love to be useful.
“We'd love to make a difference. But when we look at our abilities and our resources. We feel that we don't have enough.
“I don't have what's needed to do the good that I want, but as that small offering is placed in Jesus's hands, it's completely insufficient to the task.
“That is precisely the point: when Jesus multiplies it to feed thousands. He's telling us, I know it's not enough, but it's all I need.
“See, God doesn't wait for us to give him what we don't have. He takes what we do have, and he puts it to good use.”
