GB News Daily Reflection - Sunday 5th July 2026

In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember that Christianity is not about earning God’s approval through religious effort, but about responding to God’s grace.

Faith is a relationship with Jesus Christ founded on God’s love and acceptance rather than human achievement.

“In Jesus's time, the list of rules you had to follow to be considered a religious person grew longer every year.

“But Jesus said following him isn't supposed to be like that. Christianity is the religion that comes from or leads to a relationship with Christ himself.

“It starts not with our efforts, but with Christ's effort on our behalf. This is what Christians call grace.

“Walking with Jesus certainly requires effort, but that effort isn't trying to earn God's love or acceptance. God already loves us, so we can walk with him. God already accepts us, so we can talk to him at its heart.

“Being a Christian is about the simplest thing of all, opening up to the God who loves and accepts us and simply saying yes.”
