La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Roma coach Gasperini and senior advisor Ranieri will meet at the team’s training ground on Monday, crossing paths for the first time since their exchange of views on Friday.
Gasperini has often been critical of the club’s transfer moves in the current campaign, and according to several sources, he’s also unhappy with how some injuries to key players, especially Paulo Dybala and Wesley, have been treated by the medical staff.
It is no secret that the relationship between Gasperini and sporting director Frederic Massara is far from ideal, but senior advisor Ranieri also stepped in on Friday, insisting that Gasp approved every signing this term and even revealing that the Italian tactician was hired last summer after three other candidates had turned down the Giallorossi.
As Gasperini and Ranieri prepare to meet for the first time since their back-and-forth on Monday, Gazzetta argues that club owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin will have to make firm decisions on how to continue beyond the summer.

The newspaper notes that Ranieri, Massara and Ranieri are practically incompatible, so club owners will have to choose who to rely on for 2026-27.
Gasperini, who is contracted with Roma until 2028, is not the first coach to openly blame the club in recent years; José Mourinho took a similar approach during his two-and-a-half-year spell at the club, which ended with his sacking in January 2024.
Roma, as a club, are clearly not pleased with Gasperini’s attitude, yet the team is still fighting for a Champions League spot despite some disappointing results in the second part of the campaign.

Roma owner will have to decide whether to continue with Gasperini for 2026-27, inevitably giving the Italian tactician more power, especially in the transfer market.
On the other hand, keeping Massara and Ranieri would mean starting a new sporting project from scratch after the sackings of Mourinho, Daniele De Rossi and Ivan Juric in the last two years.
