Food recall warning for chutney that may contain metal pieces

Shoppers are being urged "do not eat" after a product has been identified as potentially "unsafe" for consumption. The manufacturer has recalled the item as it may contain "pieces of metal". The product in question is Arran Fine Foods Caramelised Red Onion Chutney, produced by Fox's Burton's Companies. According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website , the organisation stated: "Fox's Burton's Companies (FBC) UK is recalling Arran Fine Foods Caramelised Red Onion Chutney because it may contain pieces of metal, making it unsafe to eat." The FSA added: "Fox's Burton's Companies (FBC) UK is recalling the above product. Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product. These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product." The notice can be viewed online here . Multiple batches of the chutney are affected by the recall. It said: “If you have bought the above product do not eat it.
