Flick: My Dream Is to Win the Champions League with Barcelona
Rabat – Ahead of Barcelona’s league match against Celta Vigo, coach Hansi Flick stressed that his connection with the club goes beyond the current season.
He spoke about ambition, continuity, and unfinished work, stressing that his main target is winning the Champions League with Barcelona.
“My biggest dream is to win the Champions League with Barcelona,” Flick said, adding that he believes the squad has the quality to reach that level while pointing to the potential of a young group that is still developing.
His comments came just days after Barcelona’s painful elimination from Europe. The Catalans beat Atlético Madrid 2‑1 away in the second leg of their quarter‑final, but the earlier 2‑0 home defeat meant elimination on aggregate.
Flick also mentioned a second personal goal. He wants to lead Barcelona in the fully redeveloped Camp Nou, a sign that he sees himself staying long enough to be part of the club’s next chapter.
While the team has already returned to Spotify Camp Nou, the wider renovation remains a symbol of Barcelona’s future.

On his own future, Flick insisted that renewal is part of his plan, even if he does not want to turn the moment into a contract story.
He described Barcelona as a family environment, praised the atmosphere around the squad, and suggested this could be the final stage of his coaching career.
The German coach joined Barcelona in June 2024, signing a contract until June 2026 after leaving his post as Germany’s national team coach.
Since taking charge of the Catalan club, Flick has guided them to the 2024 Spanish Super Cup and the 2025 La Liga title, restoring stability and competitiveness after a turbulent period.
His record in domestic competitions has been strong, with the team leading La Liga again this season and showing renewed attacking balance.
Barcelona remains strong domestically. They lead La Liga with 79 points from 31 matches, nine ahead of Real Madrid. Celta Vigo sit sixth with 44 points, making Wednesday’s game another chance for Barça to move closer to the title.
