Ex-Juventus midfielder tells Chiellini: ‘Bring’ Tonali to Turin after goal for Italy
Former Juventus midfielder Alessio Tacchinardi was delighted with Sandro Tonali’s performance in Italy’s 2-0 win over Northern Ireland, so he urged ‘super’ Giorgio Chiellini to ‘bring’ the Newcastle star to Turin.
Tonali’s goal and assist for Italy against Northern Ireland allowed the Azzurri to secure a 2-0 victory on Thursday and qualify for the World Cup play-off Final.
Ex-Italy and Juventus midfielder Tacchinardi, a Bianconeri fan, reacted to Tonali’s performance on social media, asking his friend and Juventus director Chiellini to sign the Newcastle star this summer.

“Super Chiellini, bring him to Turin, a proper player,” Tacchinardi wrote in an Instagram story published the day after the game.
Juventus are said to be interested in Tonali, even though recent reports suggest Newcastle will demand at least €90m for the ex-Milan star this summer.

Tonali has scored three goals and provided seven assists in 47 appearances across all competitions with Newcastle this season.
The 25-year-old has also scored four goals in 31 appearances with the Italy national team.
