She was Leicester’s player of the season and top goalscorer in 2023-24 but suffered a knee injury the following campaign. On the international scene, Rantala has scored 10 goals in 36 appearances and was part of the Finland squad at Euro 2025.She would be the sixth player to depart Leicester this summer after they were relegated from the Women’s Super League in June. Everton are looking to build on last season where they finished eighth in the WSL following the managerial departure of Brian Sorensen.Scott Phelan was named his permanent successor this summer and they have made four signings so far.
