Donald Trump's minions shut down a live video stream of his behind-closed-doors crypto conference. The US President is set to give a speech at Mar A Lago this afternoon to the biggest investors in his "memecoin". Only the top 297 holders of $TRUMP are allowed to attend the conference - which has been widely criticised by Democrats. The top 29 holders of the coin will join Trump for a VIP reception during the event. And two of the President's staff stepped in to ensure his remarks would remain secret. A live stream appeared on the X account of a user named "Cryptohawk" before Trump was due to speak. But after streaming footage of the stage for just over half an hour, a woman appeared on camera looking at her phone with a quizzical expression, apparently trying to locate the source of the stream. She beckoned over a man in a suit, wearing glasses, and pointed out the camera. As Robin Thicke's hit Blurred Lines played in the background, the besuited man walked over to the streamer and asked: "Whose phone's this?" He is seen telling the streamer that everyone in attendance was told not to video the event, and asks him for his ID, before the stream cuts off. The conference comes after the value of $TRUMP plummeted by 92% over the last year. And according to the Financial Times the price paid to attend the VIP reception has dropped more than 80% compared to the same event last year. At the 2025 event you needed to hold an average of $3,280,000 of the coin to gain access. This year the average is a mere $539,000. "President Trump's assets are in a trust managed by his children," White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said. "There are no conflicts of interest." According to the Washington Post, attendees will be treated to a swag bag of Trump merch, including a Trump-branded fragrance, a commemorative poster and a "Fight Fight Fight Red Beauty Watch," which he sells online for $499. Convicted rapist and former boxer Mike Tyson will also appear at the event, as will motivational speaker Tony Robbins.
