المصدر: GB News | Source: GB NewsDonald Trump has revealed contingency plans if he is killed by Iran after Israeli intelligence warned of an assassination plot.
The President said he instructed US officials to bomb Iran at "levels they've never seen before" if there is a successful attempt on his life.
On Thursday, Israel shared intelligence that Iran had devised a new plan to eliminate Mr Trump.
Responding to the reports, the President told The New York Post: "I've left instructions - if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they've never seen before."
TRENDINGStoriesVideosYour SayThe President downplayed the claims of a threat against his life to reporters.
"Israel came up with nothing," he said. "I've been on their list for a long time. That’s what we're dealing with."
Details of the plot were not immediately clear, and two sources familiar with the matter said the US had not yet vetted it, according to US outlet CNN.
Some US officials felt the Israeli report could be an effort to sway Mr Trump's decision-making after the ceasefire broke on Tuesday.
One source said the warning was first received earlier this week.
Another said the US had received a steady stream of intelligence on Iran's plans to kill the President, but the Israeli report concerned a specific new plot.
The US has demanded Iran publicly state the Strait of Hormuz is open and stop firing on commercial ships in the vital waterway ahead of talks on Saturday.
A source said Iranian officials privately disclosed to the President the attacks on commercial vessels had been done by an "errant" sect of hardliners attempting to undermine negotiations, according to US outlet CBS.
Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio will take part in negotiations in Oman, with one US official expecting the vital waterway to be reopened after the meeting.

If the water passage is not opened, it was "not going to be a great day for them", the official added.
"They're either going to give us that statement or we're not having a good outcome for them," an unnamed official told Reuters.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on social media that Iran had followed the demands of the 14-point memorandum of understanding.
"Iran has so far kept its word, unlike the so-called US Treasury Secretary who is violating Para 9 of the MOU," he said.
"That violation follows other violations and missteps by the United States.
"Reality check: There can only be mutual compliance."
Paragraph nine of the MOU is an agreement to "maintain the status quo", with Iran pledging not to develop its nuclear programme and the US not to impose any new sanctions or deploy additional forces.
On Friday, the US Treasury imposed sanctions against Ali Ansari, described as a "financial facilitator" for the regime with a "sprawling global network of assets benefiting Iran's leader - Mojtaba Khamenei".
On Wednesday, Mr Trump said Iran placed him at "number one" on its hit list as he travelled on the previous iteration of Air Force One.
He told reporters: "I saw this morning I'm on every single one of their lists. And so far, I guess I've been a bit lucky, but maybe that doesn’t last very long."
