He has contributed 12 goals and eight assists in 43 appearances across all competitions, despite often filling in at right-back due to injuries.‌He only arrived on Merseyside in 2023, yet Hungary manager Marco Rossi claimed recently that Szoboszlai has always 'dreamed' of playing for Real Madrid. Rossi's comments came after Real's Vinicius Junior revealed that he's friends with Szoboszlai and regularly messages him.‌That speculation led to suggestions of a move to Real this summer, with Liverpool's Premier League title defence having fallen apart.
