A Reuters report has said that the US, Iran and a group of regional mediators are discussing the terms for a potential 45-day ceasefire that could lead to a permanent end to the war, citing an Axios report which refers to four US, Israeli and regional sources with knowledge of the talks.

Reuters could not immediately verify the report.

Meanwhile, strikes in Tehran have reportedly led to the death of 13 people on Monday. Iran's semi-official Fars News Agency said that the attack happened in a residential area in southeastern Tehran.

The UAE and Kuwait both dealt with incoming missile and drone attacks in the early hours of Monday, with residents getting alerts on their phones asking them to stay inside.
