Czech Foreign Minister Visits Morocco to Boost Strategic Cooperation
Agadir – The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Petr Macinka is paying a working visit to Morocco on March 25-26, representing a new stage in developing the two nations’ relations.
Macinka will hold talks with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, focusing on advancing diplomatic cooperation and exploring new avenues for partnership, the Czech Republic’s Foreign Affairs shared in a press statement.
The visit will also include a meeting with the Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, in discussions expected to emphasize economic collaboration and investment opportunities.
Macinka is “accompanied by a delegation of twenty-five representatives of leading Czech companies, organized by the Czech Chamber of Commerce,” the Czech ministry said.
The Czech delegation is expected to engage with Moroccan partners across strategic sectors, including “transport and transport infrastructure, ICT and cybersecurity, healthcare and medical technology, the defense industry, as well as water management and environmental protection solutions.”

This visit is to expand the growing range of cooperation between Morocco and the Czech Republic, particularly in areas that match Morocco’s priorities in industrial development.
Besides its diplomatic implications, this collaboration directly supports Morocco’s economic strategy of accelerating its industrialization process and strengthening its technological sovereignty and its position as a hub linking Europe and Africa.
In transport and infrastructure cooperation, this partnership is in line with Morocco’s ambition to upgrade its logistics infrastructure and connectivity, which are essential for boosting its trade competitiveness and global visibility as a touristic destination.
Cooperation in the domain of ICT and cybersecurity is also relevant, as the country continues to invest in the digital transformation of its economy and the building of a knowledge-based society, contributing to the national digital vision for 2030.
Water management and environmental protection, Morocco could benefit from Czech Republic expertise, especially after the recent railfulls which contributed to collecting a great water capacity.
